How revenue stays up to date
Short version: you don’t have to do anything. Once you connect Stripe, Snow keeps your revenue current on its own. Here’s what’s happening behind the scenes, in case you’re curious.
Snow uses two mechanisms together.
Real time, with webhooks
When you connect Stripe, Snow registers a webhook for the site. From then on, Stripe pushes events to Snow the moment they happen (a new payment, a subscription change, a cancellation), and your dashboard updates in near real time.
You don’t set up webhook endpoints by hand. Connecting Stripe wires this up for you, per site.
A safety net, with periodic reconcile
Webhooks are fast, but the internet isn’t perfect. An event can occasionally be delayed or dropped. So Snow also runs a periodic background reconcile: on a regular schedule it re-checks Stripe and fills in anything a webhook might have missed.
Think of it as belt-and-suspenders. The webhook keeps things instant; the reconcile guarantees nothing slips through the cracks.
What this means for you
- Nothing to configure. Connecting Stripe sets up both the real-time updates and the safety-net sync.
- Near real-time numbers. New payments and subscription changes show up quickly.
- Complete data. Even if a webhook is delayed, the periodic reconcile catches it, so your totals stay accurate.
If you ever disconnect and reconnect Stripe, Snow re-registers the webhook for you as part of connecting Stripe again.
