Connect Dodo Payments
Connecting Dodo Payments turns on every revenue feature for a site: the metrics, the conversions list, and the link between a payment and the visit that drove it. You connect Dodo per site, so each site reports its own revenue.
Dodo splits live and test across separate environments, and an API key belongs to exactly one. Paste either - Snow works out which one it was given and syncs that environment.
Create an API key
In the Dodo Payments dashboard, go to Developer → API Keys, click
Add API Key, and name it SnowAnalytics. The key is shown once, so copy it
before you close the dialog.
Snow reads your payments, subscriptions and refunds. It also creates one webhook endpoint of its own, so payments show up the moment they happen; if the key can't create webhooks, Snow still works on polling alone.
Paste it into your site's integration settings
Back in Snow, go to Settings → Integrations → Revenue Analytics → Dodo Payments and paste the key. Snow encrypts the key at rest before storing it, so the raw key is never kept in plain text.
Snow imports your revenue
As soon as the key is saved, Snow connects to Dodo and imports your payments and subscriptions. Your revenue metrics and conversions list start filling in, and Snow keeps them current from then on. See how revenue stays up to date.
Tie a payment back to a visit
Pass the two ids the Snow tracking snippet sets on the page - they live in the
_sa_vid and _sa_sid cookies - as metadata on your Dodo checkout session or
payment link:
{
"metadata": {
"sa_visitor_id": "<visitorId>",
"sa_session_id": "<sessionId>"
}
}Dodo carries that metadata onto the payment, which is where Snow reads it. This is the same convention Snow uses for Stripe and Polar.
